Vortex is son of Peruvian Powerplay on his sire's side and grandson of SA Silverado on his dam's side. Both have produced champions all over the U.S. Vortex has a very fine and dense fleece with consistent well defined crimp. The judge's comment at MAPACA was that Vortex had unusually long staple length for a gray and a very soft handle,which helped to put him in second place at the largest alpaca show in the world. He has perfect confirmation, straight legs and topline and a correct bite. As you can see from his photo, Vortex has a beautiful typey head as well. He was shown at the North American Alpaca Show and the MAPACA in 2008 and came home with some impressive ribbons.

Vortex has settled his first females and got the job dome on the first try. We will be offering his services at an introductory price of $1000 for 2009 breedings.
